Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Online Across Australia

Delivered by an Experienced CBT Clinician

At ActiveCBT, we provide specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) through secure telehealth across Australia, making evidence based psychological support accessible wherever you are.

We support adults experiencing a range of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, social anxiety, illness anxiety, obsessive compulsive difficulties (OCD), post-traumatic stress (PTSD), specific phobias, stress, burnout, life transitions and other challenges that can impact everyday life.

You do not need a formal diagnosis to benefit from CBT. Many people seek therapy because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, want to better understand themselves or are ready to make meaningful changes. CBT provides a structured, evidence-based approach to understanding patterns, developing skills and taking practical steps towards the life you want.

‘More Than a Talking Therapy’

At ActiveCBT, we believe therapy should lead to real change, not just meaningful conversations.

Understanding your experiences is an important first step, but lasting change happens when we begin taking steps towards doing things differently. The evidence behind CBT shows that meaningful progress comes through learning new skills, practising new responses and applying strategies in everyday life.

ActiveCBT provides personalised CBT tailored to your goals, values and aspirations. Together, we identify what may be keeping you stuck and focus on practical strategies that help you move from where you are now towards where you want to be.

Neuroaffirming CBT Support

ActiveCBT provides neuroaffirming CBT support for ADHD, autism and other neurodivergent experiences. We recognise that people have different ways of thinking, processing information, communicating and experiencing the world.

Our approach focuses on understanding your unique strengths, experiences and goals while developing personalised strategies that support emotional wellbeing, confidence and meaningful change. Whether you have a formal diagnosis, are exploring your neurodivergent identity or simply want to better understand yourself, ActiveCBT provides a supportive and inclusive space.

CBT With Additional Support Between Sessions

Change does not only happen during appointments. ActiveCBT offers optional implementation coaching to support you in applying CBT skills in everyday life.

This additional support can help you stay connected to your goals, work through barriers, practise new strategies and build momentum between therapy sessions.

Clinical Supervision and Professional Training

ActiveCBT provides specialised CBT supervision and bespoke training for counsellors, mental health professionals, educators and organisations. Drawing on extensive clinical experience, CBT expertise and university teaching, supervision and training are practical, evidence based and tailored to your learning goals. Whether you are developing CBT skills, strengthening clinical formulation, enhancing your therapeutic practice or seeking customised training for your team, ActiveCBT supports professionals to translate evidence into confident practice.

Our Story

Too often, people finish therapy with greater insight into their experiences, but are left wondering, “What do I do next?” Meaningful conversations can be powerful, creating understanding, hope and motivation for change. However, knowing why something happens does not always make it easier to take the next step.

Through extensive clinical experience, supervision and working alongside people on their journey of change, the founder of ActiveCBT recognised the need for an approach that bridges the gap between understanding and action.

ActiveCBT was created to provide evidence based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy that combines insight with practical change. Our approach focuses on helping you identify your goals, develop new skills and take meaningful steps forward, no matter how small. Because lasting change happens not only through what we understand, but through what we practise and apply in everyday life.

This is why ActiveCBT places a strong emphasis on the active nature of therapy, with structured strategies and between session coaching to support you in turning knowledge into action and moving towards the life you want.
